With heavy hearts, we honor the life of Verneisha Logan, a radiant spirit whose journey concluded on Friday, May 8, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa. At just 43 years old, Verneisha's vibrant presence left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know her.
Born on October 7, 1982, in Harvey, Illinois, to Michael Davis and Lenora Logan, Verneisha's early years were shaped in her hometown, where she attended Thornton Township High School. Later, she made Des Moines her cherished home, where she embraced her work as a clerk and devoted herself lovingly to raising her two children.
Verneisha's energy was infectious—her laughter, her love for Jesus, her passion for rapping, singing, dancing, and her joyous gift as a comedian created a joyful symphony in the lives around her. She was deeply loved and admired for the warmth and light she naturally radiated.
She leaves behind beloved children, Sircordon "Sir" Logan and Tanaisha "Nae" Logan, along with her grandson JaVion Logan. Her father, Michael Davis, siblings Ryan Logan and Davida Logan, and an extended family including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends carry her cherished memory close to their hearts.
Verneisha was preceded in death by her mother Lenora, grandmother, Gussie, uncle Gary Harrison, and cousin Tyrone Logan.
A visitation to celebrate Verneisha's remarkable life will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Revival Center Church of God in Christ, Des Moines, followed by a HomeGoing Celebration led by Pastor Michael Cameron. A private family burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
In memory of Verneisha, memorial contributions may be made to her family, who continue to honor her loving legacy. Hendersons Funeral & Cremation Care has been entrusted with the care of her family during this time of remembrance.
Verneisha's spirit remains forever alive in those she touched, a beautiful testament to a life well-lived and deeply loved.
