Timothy Jay Titus, 58, of Des Moines, formerly of Colfax passed away unexpectedly at home on August 24, 2025. Timothy was the son of Ray and Kathi Titus and lived the majority of his youth in Colfax. He was in the first graduating class of the Colfax Mingo Tigerhawks and, for many years following, was a member of Colfax Fire Department. He also worked for almost 28 years at Blue Linx (Georgia Pacific) until they eventually closed before moving to Des Moines with his sister. Tim supported his kids' sporting events by never missing a game. He also enjoyed going to the races and helping his sons race. Tim is survived by his sons Chance and Tyler, sister Missy (Dave) Kline, nieces Angie, Stephanie, Tabitha and nephew Adam as well as their children. Tim is preceded in death by his son, Tanner, parents, and maternal and paternal grandparents. Tim had a sense of humor like no other and will be missed by all.
