Timothy Durand Lee III was born on December 29, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, to Timothy Durand Lee, Jr. and Collette Loretta Renata Bassette. From a young age, Timothy showed a deep passion for football, beginning to play at the age of four. He also had a great love for dogs, which remained close to his heart as he grew.
Timothy was a dedicated student, attending King Elementary School and Goodrell Middle School before spending a year at North High School. He later transferred to Roosevelt High School, where he reached the 11th grade. In addition to his academic pursuits, Timothy enjoyed playing video games such as Call of Duty and had dreams of one day playing in the NFL, with a special admiration for the Baltimore Ravens. He also found joy in learning new things and cooking.
As Timothy journeyed from childhood into young adulthood, he found the love of his life and girlfriend, Ashihlwa. He was deeply loved by those who knew him and returned that affection warmly. Timothy cherished the time he spent with his uncle Tyrece Bassette, with whom he shared many joyful moments, including hosting activities on the 4th of July. His presence brought joy to those around him as he embraced the challenges and wonders of life.
Timothy passed away on April 25, 2026. In his passing, he joins his grandparents and his uncle Maurice, who preceded him in death.
He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Timothy Durand Lee, Jr., and Collette Loretta Renata Bassette; his siblings Ashyia, Marrion, Keyonte, Ti’Nya, Tishawn, Mario Jr., Da’Marrie, Keyonni, Jariah, Aniah, Amariyah, Zaiden, Ariyah, Bobby, and Na’Myir; his great uncle, Lorenzo Bassette; as well as a wide circle of extended family members and many friends. Timothy’s life was a celebration of love, passion, and the joy of connection, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
