It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Reginald "Reggie" Frith, 70, who left this world on Sunday, December 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Hendersons Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. His Homegoing celebration of his life will take place at Faith Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in West Des Moines on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Reverend Stevie Long.
Reggie was born on August 23, 1955, in West Des Moines, the youngest of eight children born to Theodore and Celia Bell (O'Bannon) Frith. Growing up in the close-knit community of Valley Junction, Reggie created a foundation of love and camaraderie that remained with him throughout his life. He graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines and proudly served his country in the Army. Upon returning home, Reggie built a fulfilling career as an I.T. Specialist, dedicating the last ten years of his professional journey to Sparrow Technology.
Reggie's warmth and spirit shone brightest when he was surrounded by those he cherished. He had a profound love for family gatherings, sharing laughter with friends, and his passion for sports—especially cheering on the Chicago Cubs. Those joyful moments defined him and will forever be remembered by his loved ones.
He leaves behind his beloved son, Kyle (Katie Eaton) Frith, and his treasured grandson, Kendrick Frith. Reggie's legacy of love also extends to numerous family members and close friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Reggie is reunited with his parents and his seven siblings—James Frith, Nathalene Guinn, Theodore "Ted" Frith, Harry Frith, Gloria Elliott, Marzella Moore, and Bernetta Foy—who welcomed him with open arms.
Hendersons Funeral & Cremation Care is honored to assist Reggie's family during this time and celebrate the remarkable life of a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. His memory will continue to inspire and be cherished by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to his family, Venmo @Kyle-Frith-2, honoring the love and light Reggie brought into all their lives.
John 14
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
