Monica Vance

Ms. Monica Diane Vance was born in Topeka, KS but lived most of her adult life in Omaha, NE.

She moved to Des Moines several years ago to be near her son. Monica passed away November 13, 2016.

Funeral services will be held in Omaha on Saturday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.

She is survived by her children, Derrick Vance, Ronald Gooden Jr, Louis Walker III and LouQuisha Joy Walker; her siblings, Consetta Ross, William Ross, Robert Vance, Suzetta (Tony) Hollingsworth, Ramona (Sani) Mohammed, Reginald (Henrietta) Newman, Reba (Roxy) James, Floyd (Sandra) Newman and Lawrence Cooper; her aunts, Janet Henderson and Judith Richardson; 5 grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
