Maxine Coleman

Maxine is the daughter of Hazel Coleman and Cecil Edwards. Born July 2, 1958 in Des Moines, IA and educated in the Des Moines Public school system where she graduated from Tech High School. She was employed with Fay and the Des Moines Public schools as a bus driver.

After Maxine retired she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing bingo, cooking, traveling and being a caregiver . She always thought of others first. She shared a special relationship with Alvin Whitson, with whom she had three beautiful daughter's; Maya Coleman, Aleia and N'yla Whitson.

Maxine leaves behind a host of grandchildren, siblings, extended family and friends.
