Mary Beth Bryant, age 63, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 5, 2026. Born on December 18, 1962, in Des Moines to Nathaniel R. Bryant and Mary Joan Webb, Mary Beth was a cherished member of her community and family. She was educated in the Des Moines Public Schools and graduated from Roosevelt High School before earning her Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies from Drake University. Mary Beth dedicated her career to serving others, working first for Hy-Vee Corporate and later for the Des Moines Public Schools in the Human Resources Department. Mary Beth was an active member of Corinthian Baptist Church, where she participated in the Greeter Ministry. She had a passion for cooking, was an avid reader, and enjoyed exercising. She especially treasured spending time with her great-niece and great-nephew, attending their sports events, and sharing in their accomplishments. Known for her outgoing personality, candid nature, and punctuality, Mary Beth was a valued friend and family member. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Mary Joan Bryant; her grandparents; and her nephew, Carl C. Jenkins.\ Mary Beth is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Peggy (Walter) Young, Natalie Bryant, and Amy Bryant; her nephews, Nathan Bryant and Marcus Young; her great-nephew, Cartier Bryant; her great-niece, Krymson Bryant; close friends Laura Wilwerding and Sharon (Rex) Cooper; along with many extended family members and friends. Her warmth, strength, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
