Obituary

Lenora Logan, a cherished soul and beacon of resilience, departed this life on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the age of 65, in Des Moines, Iowa. Born on October 21, 1960, in Osceola, Arkansas, to Nat and Gussie (White) Logan, Lenora's journey took her from the heart of Texas, where she was raised and educated, to new beginnings in Des Moines in 2021. There, she embraced her calling as a nursing assistant, tenderly serving at Harmony Nursing Home and MercyOne Medical Center. A testament to unwavering faith and transformation, Lenora's life was a powerful narrative of hope. Once overcome by the trials of street life, struggles with addiction, and incarceration, she found strength and renewal through her born-again Christian faith. For the past 25 years, she walked steadfastly with Jesus, her spirit uplifted by the grace she so deeply cherished. As an active member of Revival Center Church of God in Christ, Lenora inspired those around her with her testimony and unwavering commitment to her Lord and to helping others. Lenora's joy was found in family and fellowship—moments spent singing, playing bingo, and reigning as the Queen of the casino created cherished memories with her loved ones. She leaves behind a loving husband, Michael Bellamy; her children Ryan, Davida, and Vernisha Logan; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a devoted circle of siblings,Nat Logan Jr., Elnora Logan, Leroy Logan, Edward Harrison, Lisa White, and Tracy (Shelton) Kay; 16 nieces and nephews; and friends who all hold her memory close to their hearts. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Nat and Gussie, and her brother, Gary Harrison. Lenora's legacy is one of courage, faith, and love—an indelible mark left upon all who had the honor of knowing her. Her visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Revival Center Church of God in Christ in Des Moines, Iowa. Her HomeGoing Celebration will immediately follow and will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Cameron officiating. A private family burial will be held at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all who have offered support and requests that memorial contributions be directed to her family. Hendersons Funeral & Cremation Care is entrusted with guiding Lenora and her family through this time of remembrance, celebrating a life beautifully lived and profoundly cherished.
