Kendrick George Manus was born on July 27, 1987, in Clinton, Iowa.
He attended Des Moines Christian School, Iowa Christian Academy, Forreston High School and graduated from Waukee High School in 2006. He later earned his AA degree from Des Moines Area Community College and worked primarily in project management/logistics for large companies for many years.
Kendrick was outgoing, hardworking and kind-hearted with a great sense of humor, loved his family and had many friends - he never knew a stranger. He played drums, was a good artist and played basketball and football in high school.
Kendrick accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior as a young child. He was challenged with obstacles throughout his life that ultimately, in recent years, led him to a deeper faith and follower of Jesus. Kendrick regularly attended Hope + Elim Lutheran Church and found the men's Bible study group inspiring, comforting, and fulfilling.
Kendrick was preceded in death by his grandparents: Kenneth Venhuizen, George Manus, Dan Mercer, Judy Mercer-Lust and Clarence Stupka.
Kendrick is survived by his mom and step-dad, Kam and Steve Stupka, his dad and step-mom, Kerry and Jennifer Manus, and his siblings: Stephen (and Makenzie) Manus, Mikayla (and Francisco) Rodriguez, Teagan (and Bryce) Bartholomew, Eliot Manus, Jordan Stupka and Ashley (and Brandon) Jacobs; his grandmothers Bette Venhuizen, Mary Manus and Marlene Stupka, many uncles, aunts and cousins; and his beloved nieces and nephews: Kenlie and Maisie Manus, Ezekiel Rodriguez and Beau and Brody Jacobs.
As his family, we take great comfort knowing that Kendrick is no longer suffering, and that he has been made new and is now safe in the arms of his heavenly Father for eternity.
