Jeanette Carson was born on February 12th, 1933, in Des Moines, IA. She was the eldest of Sylvester "Chubby" Young and the eldest of 4 of Ruth Lee. She met the love of her life, Henry J. Carson, lovingly known as "Big Buddy," whom she met at 14. She loved him so much that she married him twice. Together, they had 8 children.
Jeanette enjoyed swimming, cooking, bird watching from her home, and gathering with her family. She retired from the Central Iowa Employment Agency after 26 years as a receptionist, and many may know her as their landlord of Carson Realty for over 30 years. She devoted her life to her ministry as one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 30 years. Witnessing was her second love, as this brought true joy to preach the truth to others.
Proceeding her in death are her parents, Ruth Bruce and Sylvester Young; her husband, Henry J. Carson; her brothers, Sylvester Jr and John E. Young (Minneapolis, Minnesota), Ronnie and Teddy Shade; her sister, Carolyn Brooks; her Firstborn son, Joseph Carson; her third daughter, Connie Carson; her son-in-law, Willie McNeal; and her granddaughter, Cutina Johnson.
Left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss are her children, Victor Carson (Minneapolis, Minnesota); Necie McNeal (Rock Island, Illinois), Betty Carson (Cleveland, Ohio), Buddy Carson, Marie Carson, and Beverly (Quincy ) Guy (Des Moines, Iowa); 23 grandchildren; and 55 great-grandchildren. Jeanette was a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, widow, and friend.
