Debra Ann Stanley was born on April 22, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, to Shirley G. Rollins and Forris L. Stanley Sr. Debra accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Original Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, where she was baptized and attended alongside her parents and siblings. She sang in the youth choir and faithfully attended Sunday School.
Debra attended Bass Perkins Grammar School and Parker High School in Chicago, Illinois. She later pursued her passion for helping others by attending nursing school in Chicago, where she graduated and began her career as a Nurse's Assistant. Debra worked for many years at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
Debra was preceded in death by her grandparents, Minnie and Albert Stanley, and Cora B. and Peter Rollins; her parents, Shirley G. Rollins and Forris L. Stanley Sr.; and her sister, Darlene R. Reed.
Debra was blessed with two children, Sean G. Stanley and Cleora T. C. Stanley, and she also cherished Isaac Linton, whom she considered a son.
Debra was the proud grandmother of three beloved grandchildren: Malik R. Stanley, Kayla J. Stanley, and Carter P. Linton.
Debra leaves to cherish her memory her loving brothers and sisters: Joseph T. Rollins (Stephanie), Valarie Stanley, Forris L. Stanley Jr. (Victoria), Linda J. Stanley, Jason K. Stanley (Sherita), and Darryl Reed.
Debra also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, including Karen Robinson, Haley Stanley, Jeanene Hatch, Forris Stanley III, Joyce O'Neil, Melisha Hatch, Brandon Stanley, Deland Stanley (Chablea), Eric Stanley, Moshaniqe Stewart (Davon), and Liliana Rollins.
In addition to her immediate family, she is survived by a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Debra will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her.
